Last round in Super 14-

Not only is this the last complete round of this years Super 14,it signals the end of the Super 14 itself. In 2011 it becomes the Super 15!
And what a final weekend it is.Lets see if we can pick some winners and then marry it up into some bets and some winnning $$$$$
First up on Friday night is the Crusaders taking on the Brumbies in a virtual 1/4 final. In Christchurch we would normally go with the Crusaders especially after their effort last week in nearly beating the Bulls in Pretoria. However the travel back from S.A becomes a major factor. How will the legs hold up?A good bet may be a Crusaders/Brumbies halftime/Fulltime double if you feel inclined.Personally,I think the class of the Crusaders will get them through....just.A good bet may be the Brumbies with the points start of +7.5.

The Hurricanes cross the ditch to Sydney and take on the Waratahs in another virtual semi final. With both Conrad Smith and Piri Weepu being included in the starting lineup this leaves me very confidant of a Hurricanes victory.Weepu offers a reliable goalkicking option, leaving Cruden to run the ship. The Waratahs are without 2 key tight forwards also.

The Blues and Chiefs would normally be a much anticipated local derby played out in front of thousands of fans, and I'm sure the drawmakers at seasons beginning were licking their lips at the mouthwatering prospect of these 2 sides playing a virtual 1/4 in the final round.Sadly its not to be.Both sides have underperformed, again! The Chiefs are fielding a Waikato 'B' side on Saturday night. No Muliana ,Sivivatu ,Kahui ,Masaga ,Donald or Delaney! They may be saved though by the travel factor, but I doubt it.The Blues should take this comfortably and salvage something from the season and in the process consign this 2010 season to History for the Chiefs.

The Highlanders travel to Brisbane and take on a Reds side with an outside chance of making the top 4.This combined with a return of a number of players should see them way to hungry and classy for a Highlanders side who were lacklustre and clueless last week.

The Sharks should deal to the Force in Durban while the Cheetahs should keep the Lions winless.

Which brings us to the huge match up between the seasons top 2 sides, the Bulls and the Stormers in Pretoria. This game was labelled a 'Stormer' last week for all the right reasons, but the Bulls hadnt seen the script. In a decison which has proven controversial, the Bulls have rested 13 players. While this may seem like a Bulls 'B' side,it will still contain 7 Springboks. And lets face it,its a wise decision to rest players for the next 2 weeks of finals footy. And of course,to have 2 semi finals in South Africa is a bonus for the Africans as well. Its a bitch travelling there and playing in their conditions!! I'm picking the Stormers.

Should be a great weekend of footy.Sit back, relax and Enjoy :)
